Spring Break: Bologna, Beer, and Publix

Spring break is in full force around these parts. Like, straight up trashing mansions and all.

I couldn't help but laugh whenever I read the article.

I used to work at Walmart in Destin and the Spring Break crowd was always the most entertaining. I was usually asked about places to eat and where to go but I could always tell the people that were here to just party and the ones that were here to enjoy some time off from school on the beach with friends and not worrying about a Physics exam. I wish I had a dollar for all the groups that would come in and buy multiple buggies full of beer, and when I would ask them where they were planning on eating out while they were here the response was always, "We just spent all of our money on beer, we don't need food." Then there was the groups that would buy loaves of bread and packages of bologna with their beer, at least they had intentions of eating?

'Merica.

Y'all, make good choices. And remember, just because it is a tourist-y area, we still have to live here after you leave.

Ugh, when did I become such a grown up?

Anyway, yesterday while I was at work I got one of those calls again... You know the "Jenni, your daycare is on the phone" call. Yay. So off I went to pick up Brody and take him to the doctor only to find out he has a super bad ear infection, again, two months later.

Fast forward an hour and we were roaming Publix waiting on his medicine. I am in love with Publix, the people that work there are always SUPER nice and helpful. Every time I go the bagger always offers to unload my buggy and help me out to the car. Of course we still had to pick up his medicine so I declined the offer but it is always nice to go somewhere that people want to help you out instead of run you over because you are in their way in the middle of Walmart. The prices are a little higher, ok some stuff is a lot higher (15.99$ for a jar of almond butter... no thank you!), but the service makes it worth it!

Napping after Publix with a few "friends" to keep watch.

OH, and this happened yesterday while we were at Publix, literally like not even a quarter of a mile from where we were.

So, today we are playing with "Monster Jam's" and watching Wreck it Ralph. I am off work next week for Spring Break so I guess you could say I got to start my vacation a day early, but I am super grateful for my awesome co-workers who are working without me today and picking up my slack, you guys are the bomb!

That is all I have for now, y'all! Have a wonderful Thursday!

    1. Thank you Chel! He is doing much better today =) It was a barge that had a crane on it and hit one of our local bridges and busted a waterline, the bridge was closed for a few hours and traffic was CRAZY all afternoon.
